2. Orders and payments
A contract is formed when we issue a written order confirmation and invoice. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We accept payment by bank transfer or credit/debit card only. Bank transfers must be made to the account shown on our invoice. Always confirm our bank details by telephone before paying. Ownership passes to you once cleared funds are received in full.
3. Vehicle descriptions
We describe every vehicle and machine honestly and accurately to the best of our knowledge. Used goods will show wear consistent with age, mileage or hours. Photographs are illustrative of the actual item. Please ask if any detail is important to your decision.
4. Delivery
We deliver throughout the UK using insured, tracked transport. Delivery dates are estimates and will be confirmed with you. We operate on a delivery-only basis, so we do not offer personal collection or warehouse visits. Our vehicles are securely stored at various locations and are professionally inspected and prepared before delivery. Once your purchase is complete, the vehicle is fully insured and transported directly to your address. This allows us to maintain high security standards while providing a safe, convenient, and reliable service. We aim to make the entire process as simple, secure, and stress-free as possible for our customers. Risk passes to you on delivery. Please inspect the item on handover and note any transit damage on the delivery paperwork.
5. Inspection and returns
Customers have a 10-day inspection and return period, subject to the applicable terms and conditions. The period begins on the day of delivery. Items must be returned in the same condition, with no significant additional mileage or hours, and with all keys and documents. Return transport costs may apply unless the item is faulty or not as described.
6. Warranty
Vehicles include a 3-month warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms. The warranty covers major mechanical and electrical failure not caused by misuse, accident, neglect or normal wear and tear. Consumable items such as tyres, brakes, clutches, bulbs and wiper blades are excluded. Claims must be reported to us before repairs are carried out. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Cancellation
Where you buy at a distance as a consumer, you may have the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 within 14 days. Business buyers do not have this right. Any deposit refund will be processed within 14 days of a valid cancellation.
8. VAT and paperwork
Prices are stated on each listing and invoice. Where VAT applies this will be shown clearly. Road vehicles are supplied with the V5C or new keeper documentation, available service history and MOT where applicable. Plant is supplied with available documentation and a VAT invoice where applicable.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the price paid for the goods. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business or profit, for business buyers.
10. Privacy and UK GDPR
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, only to handle enquiries, orders, delivery and legal obligations. Our website uses HTTPS. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your data by emailing sales@rbs-logistics.co.uk.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have to bring proceedings in your local UK court.
